Gardening roundtable planned for May 4

Dreaming of spring and the coming gardening season? Join the Gardening and Coffee Roundtable at 6 p.m., May 4 at the Stumpf Wheat Center in Grant.

This is an informal program, providing an opportunity for anyone to bring their gardening questions for David Lott, Nebraska Extension horticulture educator to answer.

Lott will also share information on ways to raise successful landscapes and gardens with less water, reduced pesticide use, while benefiting butterflies, pollinator and human-beneficial insects in the ecosystem.

These topics will help gardeners cope with drought conditions that are common in western Nebraska. Extension publications and material will also be available to pick up at the program to take home as well.

While there is no fee for the Gardening and Coffee Roundtable, everyone is asked to register to ensure enough material for participants to take home. Please register at the Perkins County Extension Office by calling (308) 352-4340.
