Generation Chevy Coupe restored
Sid Colson and John Culver celebrated their December birthdays at the recent Elsie seniors luncheon. They got their picture taken in front of a 1941 Chevy Coupe that had once belonged to Colson’s grandmother, Bessie Nomer.
Louie Coppersmith had bought the car from Nomer with intentions to restore the car to its original condition. Coppersmith’s passion for his music kept him extremely busy and he never got around to restoring the car as he had planned.
After Coppersmith passed away, his wife Virginia asked Colson if he would like to take ownership of the car that his grandmother had once owned. Colson bought the car and had it fully restored.
