Perkins County Sheriff Deputy Kevin Klahn has been a Perkins County resident for six months. 

Getting to Know You: Kevin Klahn

Kevin Klahn, 35, is a newer deputy for the Perkins County Sheriff’s Office, but is not new to serving his community. 

“I have always enjoyed working in the community. I was a volunteer fire fighter and EMT for eight years before I went into law enforcement,” Klahn said.

He started with the Minden Police Department in 2009, and spent five years as a deputy sheriff with Hamilton County before moving his family to Madrid to take his new position in Perkins County in August of last year. 

“We have friends in the area and have visited often. An opportunity opened up within my training and we jumped on it.”
