Opportunities to volunteer at GOCH

In honor of National Volunteer Week, April 23-29, Golden Ours Convalescent Home in Grant is honoring its volunteers.

Over the past year, the following individuals and groups have given their time to facilitate church services and provide entertainment and special events for the residents at GOCH.

Volunteers include Zion Lutheran Church, Grant United Methodist Church, New Life Fellowship Church, Wallace United Fellowship Church, Trinity Lutheran Church, Madrid/Elsie United Methodist Church, Congregational Church, E-Free Church, Mother of Sorrows Church, Karen Fuller, Arnold Kramer, Janie Colglazier, Ruth Ochsner, Val Foster, Nancy White, Henry Taylor, Billy Taylor, Eli Gaston, Bev Kreis, Wrex and Stephanie Phipps and family, Ashton Meyer, Savannah Clark, Amanda Condon, Shana Franklin, Kamryn Branson, Cal Wells, Candi Harms, Cowboy Capital Chorus.

There are many volunteering opportunities available at Golden Ours Convalescent Home.

They are currently looking for volunteers to:

• Lead a bible study.

• Volunteer under the direction of activity personnel to take residents on bus outings.

• Provide/organize a program for special days/holidays or help the activity department with a special event when needed.

• Provide vocal/instrumental entertainment

• Provide one-on-one companionship and/or social stimulation for less active residents.

• Stop by anytime and help with regularly scheduled activities.
