Grant and Venango hit with burglaries

Four burglaries in Grant and one in Venango took place between Thursday night, Feb. 21 and Friday morning, Feb. 22.

Perkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to calls Friday morning and investigated. Sheriff Jim Brueggeman said they have collected evidence to send to the lab for analysis and are working to solve the cases. 

Perkins County Senior Center, Ride Rite Garage and Frenchman Valley  Coop in Grant and Middle of Nowhere Bar in Venango all had minimal amounts of cash stolen. 

A burglary was attempted at Arnold Insurance but unsuccessful. 

Brueggeman said they have increased patrols as burglaries have increased throughout the region. 

Residents should take caution by always locking their homes, businesses and vehicles.
