Grant Fire and Perkins County Ambulance reports July calls

For the month of July 2025, the Grant Fire Department and Perkins County Ambulance Responded to 37 incidents during the month.  

The July incidents broke into 11 fire responses, 1 trauma responses, 6 medical incidents, 0 Cardiac situation, 6 long distance transfer events, 3 motor vehicle accidents, 4 Flights for Life assists, and 6 other EMS incidents.

For the year to date there have been 187 requests for aid, consisting of 46 fire responses, 83 medical emergencies, 35 long distance transfers, 13 Flight For life events, and 9 vehicle accidents and 1 storm watch.

One member of the department attended the state wide EMS Conference, all members assisted in the checking of the city’s fire hydrants and members received training on fire extinguishers, and further training on equipment location on fire apparatus.

Can you give 5 hours of your time? If you find yourself able to give 5 hours per month to the citizens in our community the fire/ambulance could use you, the 5 hours would consist of 2 hours of monthly training, 2 hours in a monthly meeting and 1 hour in response to the aid of someone needing assistance for an emergency event in our area. Please visit with a member of the department about your being a part of the team.
