Grant Lions celebrate 74th annual Charter Night

Last Wednesday, May 26, the Grant Lions celebrated their 74th Annual Charter Night Banquet at the Grant Senior Center. 

On the agenda were installation of 2021-22 officers, orientation of four new members and award presentations. 

New officers, installed by Past District Governor, George Witte, of the Wallace Lions are Ashley Colglazier, Board Member & LCIF Representative; Mackade Skinner, Tail Twister; Marilyn Regier, Board Member; Neil Hilton, Tail Twister; Rendale Meyer, Board Member; Leland Thomas, Board Member; Leon Regier, Lion Tamer; Ted Tietjen, Membership Chairman; Trent Patrick, Treasurer & 1st Vice President; Raymond Beisner, 3rd Vice President; Samantha Balderston, Recording Secretary & 2nd Vice President; and Lisa Schmitt, Reporting Secretary & President.

New Grant Lions members were oriented by Past District Governor, Larry Seger, of the Wallace Lions. 

They are Luke Korf, Raymond Beisner, Nate Welch, and Bob McCune. 

Luke is employed at Frenchman Valley Coop, Raymond at Perkins County Health Services, Nate at Aurora Coop, and Bob is retired.

Lion Betty Thomas presented Lion Ashley Colglazier the esteemed Melvin Jones Fellowship Award. Melvin Jones was the founder of Lions International.

Lion Leland Thomas presented Lion Edward Dunn the newly established Hascall/Biggs Award. Hascall and Biggs were Lions International Presidents from Nebraska.

Lion Leland Thomas presented Lion Trent Patrick a Hascall/Biggs Award.
