GVFD assists in combine fire

Grant Volunteer Fire Department assisted in a combine fire on the farm of Bob Nodlinski on Sunday, July 8.
Just after 4 p.m., Brule Volunteer Fire Department was called to the fire rural Brule, 16 miles northwest of Grant. The combine was engulfed in flames upon arrival.
Nodlinski said the header of the combine caught fire and he exited the cab after seeing smoke.
Ogallala Volunteer Fire Department also assisted.
