Hazardous waste collection to be held Saturday, April 21

A household hazardous waste collection will be held Saturday, April 21 from 8-9 a.m. at the Perkins County fairgrounds. It is open to everyone in the area including neighboring towns and counties. 

Items accepted include cleaning products, lawn and garden chemicals, batteries, paint, used oil and other hazardous household items. 

Materials need to be in disposable containers no larger than five gallons or 50 pounds. Containers will not be returned. 

No tires, appliances or items containing asbestos will be accepted. Personnel reserve the right to reject any materials.

This is a free service provided by Red Willow Household Hazardous Waste Program. Support for the program is provided by Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality Waste Reduction & Recycling, Perkins County Commissioners and City of Grant.
