Winds from over the weekend did damage to trees across town, leaving branches hanging or scattered in yards. The small tree just outside the Grant Tribune office sustained some damage from the gusts, with one branch dangling from the plant. Wind speeds on Sunday averaged 45 miles per hour, with the highest speeds at 63 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service. The aggressive winds continued into Monday and Tuesday.
