In honor of Kevin Lee

In honor of former Perkins County Fair Board member Kevin Lee, who passed away earlier this year from an accident, the PC Fair Board auctioned off a calf in his honor with the proceeds to go towards a large project at the fairgrounds in his name. The auction of the calf, who is affectionately named Kevin, brought in $74,000 during the auction, and an additional $12,000 later for a total of $86,000, said Kroeker. More information about the special project will be forthcoming, he said. Also presented during the fair was a special bench in Kevin’s honor and a plaque that will hang in the community hall at the fairgrounds. Both will be highlighted in a special fair section to be printed by the Tribune-Sentinel in early August.
