Independence Day Celebration this weekend in city park

The park in the City of Grant will be alive and full of energy this Saturday when the Chamber hosts the annual Fourth of July Celebration. 

Due to the fourth falling on a Sunday this year, the event was moved to the third, Saturday, for convenience of attendees. 

The fireworks show will still be held on Sunday evening at dusk, making the weekend packed full of fun activities with something for everyone!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

• All day — Music by Orpheus Music & Sound

• 6:45 a.m. — Opening ceremony

• 7 a.m. — Firecracker Fun Run

• 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. — PC School Foundation breakfast, free will donation

• 9 a.m. — Yoga in the park

• 10 a.m. — Sand volleyball

• 11 a.m. — Slushies, Perkins County FFA

• 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. — Lunch, Grant Cemetery Board, free will donation

• 12 - 5 p.m. — Car show

• 12 - 5 p.m. — Bounce houses, free popcorn, cotton candy and water

• 1 p.m. — Corn-hole tournament

• 1 p.m. — Horseshoe tournament

• 1-5 p.m. — Free swimming

• 2 p.m. -— Rib cook-off judging

• Sunday, July 4, 9:30 p.m. — Fireworks show, funded by area donations and the Perkins County Chamber of Commerce, show put on by Grant Volunteer Fire Department.
