Kevin Tickle honored for estate gift to PCHS

Tuesday, August 4, the Perkins County Health Services Foundation recognized a very generous gift from Kevin Tickle. Kevin’s estate gift made it possible to completely remodel the Hugs-N-Teddy Bears Daycare at the hospital.

Kevin worked at the hospital as part of the custodial staff at the Perkins County Hospital for nearly 30 years.

When he passed away in 2018, his estate provided a very generous gift to the Perkins County Health Service Foundation.

The Foundation Board of Directors chose the Hugs -N-Teddy Bears daycare at the hospital to receive the funds to remodel the playground.

The new modern equipment and surrounding padding ensure the kids have a safe and fun place to spend their outdoor time.

Kevin’s sister and brother were present to visit the playground and help the Foundation recognize his generosity.

Kevin’s sister Charlene Lininger of Holyoke, Colo and his brother Galen and wife Judy Tickle of Grant were in attendance.

His sister Marcia Tickle Spratt of Grant was unable to attend and told the Foundation “Kevin had a very special place in his heart for kids and he would have loved that the money was used for the playground.“

The Foundation was honored to recognize Kevin’s kind and generous nature and to celebrate the wonderful project that was completed due to his generosity.
