Lake Mac activities planned in June
Pie and Paint
Friday, June 9, 5-7:30 p.m.
Lake McConaughy Visitor/Water Interpretive Center.
Join the park naturalist out at the lake to enjoy a slice of pie while painting. Follow guided instruction or come up with an original idea.
Canvas, brushes, paint, and a slice of pie will be provided, for a fee. Limit 20 people. Registration is required.
Wildflower Walk
Saturday, June 10 10 a.m.
Lake McConaughy Visitor/Water Interpretive Center
The Wildflower Week celebration continues! Everyone is invited to join the park naturalist, assisted by local wildflower enthusiast, Carol Kraus, at the lake to enjoy a mid-morning wildflower walk. Meet at the Lake McConaughy Visitor Center.
Tea and Canvas
Saturday, June 10 3-5:30 p.m.

Join the park naturalist out at the lake for an afternoon of acrylic painting. Follow guided instruction or come up with an original idea. Enjoy tea while painting in honor of National Tea Day. Canvas, brushes, paint, and refreshments will be provided, for a fee. Limit 20 people. Registration is required.
Dog Walk at the Lake
Friday, June 23, 5 p.m., Lake Ogallala Hike/Bike Trail
Bring a leashed four-legged friend out for a guided hike at Lake Ogallala. The park naturalist is celebrating National Bring Your Dog to Work Day, and everyone is invited to join in. Meet at the Lake Ogallala Hike/Bike Trail at 5 p.m. After the trail walk, each dog will leave with a doggy bag gift.
