Lincoln artists displaying at Meadowlark in April Meet Alison Rash Saturday, April 15 at an open house

Two Lincoln, Neb., artists will be exhibiting at Meadowlark Gallery in Grant this month—former Grant resident Alison (Aten) Rash, and her close friend, Anna Zach.

Rash

Alison is currently living in Lincoln. She graduated from Grant High School and is the daughter of Gregg and Denice Aten, formerly of Grant.

Rash earned an MFA from Claremont Graduate University with a concentration in Painting, an MA in Education from Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology and a BA in Art from Pepperdine University.

Her art has been exhibited in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, San Diego, Dallas and Washington D.C. as well as internationally in Paris, France; Venice, Italy and Tokyo, Japan.

Alison’s current body of work at Meadowlark “explores the idea of absence and the relationship between compulsive and impulsive mark-making.”

Visit with Alison at Meadowlark Gallery Saturday, April 15 from 5-7 p.m.

Zach

The work of Anna Zach is also on display during April.

Showing a love of wood, three dimensions and color, Anna’s unique wood-based decor features the play of shadow, and dramatic angles and textures.

She is inspired by spaciousness and the simplicity of minimalism. She feels that each of her sculptures tell their own story of adaptation, challenge, resiliency and determination.
