New nurse hired at Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department

Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) announces the hiring of Crystal Bright, LPN who will be based at the Imperial office.

“Crystal brings excellent skills that will make her a valuable team member,” explains Myra Stoney, director of SWNPHD. “She will be the program director for the Health Hub and Minority Health Initiative programs. Crystal will conduct health screenings through finger pricks, give flu shots and provide education on numerous topics.”

Bright will work closely with Julia Maddux of Wauneta on conducting health screenings, especially for minorities.

“I am excited about working for Southwest,” shares Bright. “I have spent the last 14 years managing Hidden Pines Assisted Living facility. SWNPHD will provide me many new experiences and I am looking forward to serving residents on the western half of our district.”

Bright graduated from Mid-Plains Community College as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She is a native of Maywood and is engaged to Cliff Lakey of Champion. Her children are Mason Bright and Harper Lakey.
