Efforts that began more than a decade ago to replace the aging pool in the Grant City Park will come to fruition at 11:30 a.m. Friday morning when the new pool will officially open for the first time. The pool passed the final health inspection last week to clear the way for the opening, which is only a week later than originally scheduled. Ground for the $2.582 million acquatic center was broken in early June 2020 with construction continuing throughout much of the winter.
