PC officials attend workshop

Perkins County officials attended a two and a half day conference conducted in Kearney, Dec. 13-15 for Nebraska county officials.

Those attending from Perkins County included Clerk Rita Long, Assessor Peggy Burton, Treasurer Julie Sestak, Veterans Services Officer Stephanie Larson, Highway Superintendent/Weed Superintendent Michael Dolezal and Commissioner Bernard Deaver. 

The annual conference, attended by approximately 800 county officials and employees, is part of the continuing education and leadership development series sponsored by the Nebraska Association of County Officials.

The conference updated county officials on recent change in state laws and provided extensive training on the responsibilities of their respective offices.
