PC School Board approves curriculum, purchases and teaching contracts at March meeting
The Perkins County Schools Board of Education convened for its regular monthly meeting on Monday, March 17, in the Junior High/Senior High Library.
The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m. by Board President Chris Fryzek, with all six board members—Jayson Bishop, Holly Cornelius, Chris Fryzek, Tori Gengenbach, Jason Noyes, and Cameron Sis—present.
After the Pledge of Allegiance and confirmation of meeting notice, the board approved the minutes from the February 13 meeting and voted unanimously to approve all bills and payroll for March, including General Fund claims totaling $700,331.76 and Lunch Fund claims of $36,100.20.
Reports and Updates
Board members heard a variety of reports, including an update on the 2025–2026 budget request from ESU16, as well as updates from school administrators and coordinators covering elementary and secondary education, activities, curriculum, technology, and facilities. Superintendent Mark Jolliffe also provided a budget and strategic plan update.

Personnel Decisions
During the action items portion of the meeting, the board approved a five-year contract with Ramsey Education for a new Personal Finance curriculum totaling $6,178.01.
A proposed contract for the Amplify K-6 science curriculum was discussed but no action was taken at this time.
The board also approved teaching contracts for two new educators: Mallory Perez for 1st Grade and PC alumna Peyton Woodmancy-Rowley for High School English.
Both motions passed unanimously.
Track Refurbishment and Policy Revisions
A bid of $109,702 from Fisher Tracks was approved for a track refurbishment project, with the motion passing 5–1.
Board member Tori Gengenbach cast the lone dissenting vote.
Several policy reviews and updates were also addressed, including approval of revisions to Policy 4057 regarding the superintendent’s evaluation and changes to the language of Superintendent Jolliffe’s contract in relation to timelines.
Executive Session and Adjournment
The board entered executive session at 8:54 p.m. for personnel discussion and returned to open session at 10:13 p.m.
The meeting adjourned shortly after, at 10:16 p.m.
