PC swim team competes in championship

The Perkins County Swim Team sent 15 of their 35 swimmers to the Plains Tsunami Swim League Championship Meet on Saturday, July 13 in Lexington. 

First-year swimmers making it to the meet included Lila Hill, Olivia Jehorek and Carmi Regier, all from the 8 and under age group.  

Swim Team coaches Ciara Lampmann and Angela Gloy are especially proud of their team.  

“Our swimmers accomplish a lot during the season and always swim well at the championship meet. We have great competitors who represent Perkins County and the league’s west division extremely well,” said Gloy.

Hannah Bishop: Medley relay, sixth; 100 free relay, 10th.

Kim Bishop: 50 free, second; 25 free, third.

Brenna Colglazier:  50 back, alternate; 50 breast, 11th, medley relay, sixth; 100 free relay, 10th. 

Hanna Colglazier: 25 fly, Alternate. 

Haley Dunn: 25 breast, alternate; 50 free, 12th; medley relay, sixth, 100 free relay, 10th. 

Victor Dunn: 25 back, fourth; 25 breast, fifth; 25 free, 12th. 

Angela Gloy:  100 free, second; 50 free, fourth; 25 free, sixth.

Grant Gloy: 25 breast, third; 25 free, 10th.

 Jacqueline Gloy: 50 breast, alternate, medley relay, sixth; 100 free relay, 10th. 

Lila Hill: 25 back, alternate; 25 breast, 10th; 25 free, alternate.

Taylor Hubl: 50 back, sixth; 50 breast, 15th; 50 free, ninth; 100 free relay, fourth.

Olivia Jehorek: 25 Back, 25 free, did not race due to illness.
