PCS quiz bowl team challenges Grant Lions

At the March 28 Grant Lions Club meeting, the Perkins County High School quiz bowl team challenged the Lions members to a contest.

The challenge was carried out by having a red and blue team made up of Lions and high school students on each team. The contest served as a practice for the students and a program for the Lions.

The competition was administered by PCS Science Teacher Deanne Bishop, quiz bowl team sponsor/moderator, and Casey Gaar, timekeeper/former PCS student.

After several rounds of serious questions, the red team won the competition, with little help from the Lions.

Contestants for the event were quiz bowl members Ethan Terry, Kenyon Gaar, Jaci Kurkowski, Chris Terry, Nathan Kemling, Keegan Sims, Jacob Woodmancy and Matthew Wendell. The Lions were represented by Lissa Schroder, Edward Dunn, Trent Patrick, Mike Ochsner, Ashley Colglazier, Rendale Meyer and Ron Patrick.
