PCSO in transition following resignation

Casey Griffin of Grant resigned from the Perkins County Sheriff’s Office effective July 28, and has accepted a job in the private sector. 

Sheriff Jim Brueggeman said they have contingently hired two new deputies to replace the two who have recently resigned. Blake McCreedy of Lincoln and Austin Lamoree of Juniata, whose start dates have not yet been set, both have Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice degrees.

Brueggeman said they will be field-trained here when they arrive, and then attend Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center from January to April to receive their certification.

This will bring the number of deputies back to five.
