Perkins County Democratic Convention to be held this Saturday

The Perkins County Democratic Party Convention will be this Saturday, May 26 in Imperial from 10 a.m. to noon. 

All county residents are invited to attend the event being held at the Imperial Public Library at 703 Broadway, but only registered Democrats may vote during the County Convention. 

Election of county party officers and other business will be conducted, including election of delegates and alternates to the Nebraska Democratic Party’s State Convention to be held on June 22-24. 

State convention delegates will elect some state party officers, all state central committee members and some caucus leaders. Additionally, delegates will conduct vital party business such as updating rules, bylaws, resolutions and the NDP issue platform. 

Only those elected at county convention as a delegate or alternate may attend state convention.
