Quilt of Valor presented to Fuller

Grant Fuller of Madrid was presented a Quilt of Valor on May 12 by Donna Burge.  

Fuller’s quilt was pieced by Burge with a memorial donation from Josie and Dan Hughes in memory of Josie’s father, Lloyd Hahn, who was a WWII veteran. It was quilted by Susan Hanson.  

Josie and her mother, Lila Hahn of Elsie, were present, along with Fuller’s wife Karen and their four daughters and their families for the surprise presentation.

Fuller was drafted into the Army at age 19 and served in Vietnam. 

The mission of Quilts of Valor Foundation is to “cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.”
