Ramp, portable fencing installed at fair grandstands

Above: A new handicapped ramp with benches is now attached to the grandstands at the Perkins County Fairgrounds. The new addition was completed this past week by CBS Constructors out of McCook, and paid for by the PC Fair Board, according to Fair Board President Kasey Kroeker. Kroeker said the addition was made to better accommodate people who have a hard time getting up into the grandstands for events. Below: Another feature this year that will enhance the audience’s viewing comfort is the removal of part of the permanent arena fence and the installation of a portal fence that was donated by Ogallala Ag Supply, Kroeker said. Being able to remove part of the fence will allow more space for the concert stage, thus giving more room to those who are standing in front of the stage, he said.
