Scouts attend Camp Augustine 

The 30-foot climbing tower at Scout Camp Augustine was a major attraction for Grant Scouts Pack 160 last week. Those attending the camp near Grand Island included (l-r): Edward Dunn, Orion Knoles, Tyson Schwanebeck, Nate Schwanebeck, Mason Minster, Grant Gloy, Grayson Baumgartner and Victor Dunn. Nearly 500 scouts attended the camp this summer, participating in swimming, archery, climbing and rappelling, rifle shooting, nature and ecology projects while at the campsites and 12 program areas. Camp Augustine is located on 200 acres of land adjacent to the Platte River and includes grassland, trees and riverfront and lake properties. Deer, raccoons, rabbits, squirrels, turkey, quail and other animals and birds are common on the property.
