Hunters listen as Conservation Officer Alex Hasenauer for the Nebraska Southwest District describes his duties and how regulated safe hunting is an important part of game management and wildlife habitat conservation.

Several complete hunter education

Area students, ranging in age from 11-65, attended 14 hours of a Hunter Education and Bow Hunter Education combination course to meet their requirements for certification. 

Nebraska Game and Parks efforts to ensure a safe hunting environment and the conservation of wildlife heritage provide a life long experience. 

The Wallace American Legion Post 213 provided the classroom facilities. Other sponsors of the event included the Wallace Youth Club and Masschhoffs Family Farms, who jointly provided safety equipment and range supplies essential to a successful training experience.
