Six calls in one day: April keeps local emergency crews busy

For the month of April 2026, the Grant Fire Department and Perkins County Ambulance Responded to 25 incidents during the month. It should be noted 12 of the incidents took place between April 20th and April 24th, April 22nd was a unique day where 6 different responses were dispatched on this particular day.  The April incidents were divided into 9 fire responses, and 16 EMS incidents which included 0 trauma responses, 3 medical incidents, 0 Cardiac situations, 7 long distance transfer events, 0 motor vehicle accidents, 3 Flight for Life deployments, and 3 other EMS incidents. 

Training in April was handling law enforcement medical situation and other legal situations; CPR refresher was given to those members needing to renew their training.
