Thanksgiving dinner curbside, delivery only

With Thanksgiving Day approaching quickly, more changes are needed in providing the community with a Thanksgiving dinner that will ensure the safety of those who volunteer in helping with the meal; as well as those receiving a meal. Jim and Star Kemling appreciate everyone’s patience as they move forward.

There will be no indoor dining this year.

They will still be able to minister to our community. This free meal is provided by the generosity of local businesses, Perkins County Chamber and private donations.

A traditional Thanksgiving dinner of baked ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, vegetable, gravy and a dinner roll will be provided along with a choice from the following pies: coconut crème, apple, cherry, pumpkin, or pecan.

Home delivery of meals in Grant will start at 11:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Curbside pickup is planned to begin by 11:30 a.m.

Volunteers are needed for Wednesday morning and Thanksgiving day for food preparation, serving, and cleanup.

Please call Star’s cell phone at 353-0214 to place an order. To help the Kemlings in planning, please call in advance to request meals no later than Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 12 noon so that they can prepare an adequate amount of food to serve everyone.
