Three Perkins County VFDs compete in tournament

Though Imperial’s department took home the first place trophy, the other three competing teams in the first ever firemen dodgeball tournament were from Perkins County. At the old Wheatland High School on Oct. 21, Grant Volunteer Fire Department took second place, while the hosting team, Madrid Volunteer Fire Department took third place.  Venango’s VFD proudly took home the “biggest loser” trophy.  The $1,924 collected at the door in admission fees and donations will be evenly split among the four competing teams/departments.
