Tribune takes third in General Excellence in statewide newspaper competition
The Grant Tribune was the recipient of several awards at this year’s Nebraska Press Association’s (NPA) Better Newspaper Contest.
Every year, newspapers across the state submit their best entries in different categories, where they are then judged by a third party, (this year’s judging was done by the Illinois Newspaper Association) and winners are typically announced at the NPA Convention in April.
This year’s convention was postponed until July, and then ultimately cancelled.
However, the NPA put together a slide show presentation, just as would be watched at convention, announcing the winners.
The slide show was available for viewing on Thursday at 1 p.m.
Past Editor Brooke Robertson and current office and production manager Samantha Goff participated in the “watch party” and were honored to see several awards go to the Grant Tribune, which is a class B newspaper. The Tribune won the following:
