Women’s Connection in Grant March 19

The Grant & Ogallala Women’s Connection will be at Westview in Grant on Tuesday, March 19 at 2:30 p.m.

Shirley Ziegler will provide music to “calm the spirit”. Special feature will be a surprise. The guest speaker will be Rhonda Sedgwick Stearns.

Stearns is a fourth generation Wyoming rancher. She has followed many different trails in life including rodeo cowgirl, horse trainer, musician, author, columnist and cowgirl poet. She loves animals, the outdoors, reading, writing, cooking and talking.

After living single until her mid-40s, she married a cowboy she’d known all of her life. Through that marriage, she “inherit3e” a wonderful daughter and son, and now has four beautiful grandchildren to enjoy. Unfortunately, they live far away in Tennessee so she doesn’t see them as often as she’d prefer.

Her cowboy went home to Jesus in 2013 but Stearns still lives in her rural home with three cherished cats.

Tickets are available at the door. Reservations are very much appreciated and can be made by calling Wanda Poppe at 308-353-1715, Marilyn Dahlkoetter at 308-284-3837 or Evelyn McGregor at 308-289-5801 or via email to evelynlmcgregor@gmail.com.
