Women’s Connection in Grant May 17

The Grant and Ogallala Women’s Connection will kick off this season with their meeting on Wednesday, May 17 at 2:30 p.m. as they celebrate May.

Their festivities will be held at Westview, 1 Westview Drive in Grant, and everyone is welcome.

There will be food, fun and friends. Carolyn Harms from Madrid will begin the jubilee with her music concert. “Peaches,” also known as Pat Rohling from Valley Centre, Kansas will be sharing humorous stories of how she got that name and how her life produced fruit from her experiences.

Rohling is a retired hairdresser and postal worker who overcame divorce, then after her second marriage had to overcome the death of her husband.

She is the mother of two and grandmother of five. She now volunteers through outreach programs in shelters for abused women and pregnant teens.

Reservations are very much appreciated and can be made by calling Wanda Poppe at 308-353-1715 or Evelyn McGregor at 308-289-5801 or via email to evelynlmcgregor@gmail.com
