Women’s Connection meeting announced

 The Grant and Ogallala Women’s Connection will be exploring survival at their meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at the Congregational Church at 302 N. Spruce in Ogallala.

The meeting will begin at 2:30 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door, refreshments will be provided and everyone is welcome.

The special feature of the meeting - “Fire Safety is More Than Stop, Drop and Roll” will be presented by Ogallala Firefighter Rick Bourque who will be giving valuable education and training for adult fire prevention and survival.  

The guest speaker will be Susan Finney from Winfield, Kansas.  She will share her story “Then I Heard Gunshots” as she tells of her miraculous survival of a gunshot wound when an errant rifle bullet shattered her car window and struck her in the face.
