Work to begin on Highway 23 between Venango and Brandon

Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, April 15 on Highway 23, from the Colorado Line to Brandon, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Paulsen Inc., of Cozad has the $2,876,858 contract. Work includes milling, guardrail, asphalt patching, asphalt overlay and seeding.

 Traffic will be maintained with flaggers and a pilot car.  Anticipated completion is the end of August.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously through construction zones and to expect delays.
