Work has started to concrete Fourth Street from Hall to Mitchem Avenues.
Work underway on street projects
CSC Construction began work last week on the concrete street project on Fourth Street from Hall Avenue to Mitchem Avenue.
Grant City Superintendent Edward Dunn said he expects them to begin sometime next week on the asphalt project on Hancock Avenue from Fifth to Sixth Streets and the concrete project on Fifth Street from Central Avenue to Lincoln Avenue.
All of the projects are scheduled to be completed by the end of October depending on weather.
“We ask the residents be patient with the crews and allow them to do the work necessary to maintain and upgrade our streets. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause,” said Dunn.
Grant City Council approved CSC Construction’s bid of all three street projects at $179,879 during their May 30 meeting.
