WVFD aids community member with home renovations
The Wallace Volunteer Fire Department organized a work day to help community member Vicki Ogier get brick siding added on to her house. Vicki was a member of the Wallace Fire Auxiliary, and because she is widowed and has health issues, she needed help with the siding installation. The work day began at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Crews continued removing existing siding from the house, began the prep work for installing the brick siding and loading the siding components onto pallets so they could be moved closer to the job site. Preparations were made by other crews the day before so Saturday’s crews could get right to work at installing the brick siding. Wallace Volunteer Fire Department members and members of the community donated food and drink for the crews through out the day. Family, friends and neighbors of all ages joined in to make the day fun and productive.
