The second grade class sings, “Clean My Room,” as well as, “Spring Has Finally Come.” Other crowd favorites sung during the evening by the Perkins County Elementary Kindergarten through fourth grade classes included “Baby Beluga” by the kindergarten class, “I Feel So Waltzy” by the first grade, “Our Only Home” by the third grade, and “We Go Together” by the fourth grade. The fifth and sixth grade bands also played several selections for the packed gymnasium.

Sixth graders (l-r): Caidence Allen, Olivia Gengenbach, Job Sainz and Rally Ketteler play percussion in the band during the Perkins County Elementary School Spring Concert on Thursday, April 28, in the Pritchett Gym at the Perkins County High School. The event was directed by Jasmine Lehl and Kristin Borman. The two women were honored at the end of the event with flowers from the administration, which were presented by their husbands and also Superintendent Phillip Picquet. Borman is retiring after serving as the music teacher for the district this year, and Lehl, who has served as the band instructor for the district for several years, is taking a one-year sabbatical to continue her education.

Art student creates logo for tree board

The Grant Tree Board turned to the art classes at Perkins County High School for help with its promotion in the form of a newly created logo.
