Carl Edward Schumacher

Carl Edward Schumacher was born March 31, 1949, at Mount Clemens, Michigan, to Elwood W. and Grace M. (Rambo) Schumacher.
Carl graduated from South Lake High School at St. Clair Shores, Michigan, in 1967. Carl joined the U.S. Air Force in 1968 and did his basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas. Carl served his country for close to 23 years. After retiring from the service he worked as a janitor for BSI in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Carl married Pam Bennett on June 1, 1996, and to this union merged two families. They moved to Nebraska later that year and over the years, Carl worked for Groff Ag and Enders Golf Course. Carl enjoyed working on cars and was an avid Mustang man. When he could he loved to hunt and fish. Carl was a lifetime member of the Wauneta VFW.
Carl was a Tactical Airforce Maintenance Technician (Crew Chief) in the United States Air Force. He served in Vietnam and Desert Storm. Over the years of service, Carl was stationed in several countries including Thailand, Germany, and in the states.
Carl passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska. He was 72 Years of age.
Survivors include: wife, Pam of rural Wauneta; children, Bill (Rose) Schumacher of Utah, Suki (Geoff) Warda of Wisconsin, Craig (Desiree) Loeffler of Imperial, Dawnya (Rick) Dreiling of Grant, Angela Laird of Imperial and Tina (Dave) Hamilton of Wauneta.
Grandchildren, Madeline Warda, Elise Warda, Robert Warda, Tondarea Francis, Alan Loeffler, Alex Loeffler, Kassidy Loeffler, Laura Doyle, Trace Doyle, Curtis Laird, Jasmine Laird, Austin Laird, Jill Pankonin, Lorenzo Cavanaugh, Cheyenne Cavanaugh, and Dennis Cavanaugh.
Great-Grandchildren, Riley Francis, Winston Loeffler, Issac Loeffler, and Hadley Doyle.
Brother, Woody (Sue) Schumacher of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sisters, Janet (Steve) Crabb and Joan Schneider, all of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews
Funeral services are pending at this time.
No visitation, Carl chose cremation.
A memorial, in Carl’s Memory, has been suggested to the Schumacher Family for a future designation.
