Deborah Ann (Elmlinger) Grosser

Deborah Ann (Elmlinger) Grosser, 70, of Chiang Rai, Thailand, passed away suddenly on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022 in Chiang Rai, of cardiac arrest. Debbie was born April 9, 1951 in Sandusky, Ohio, daughter of Helmut Elmlinger and Ruthie Mae (Harris) Elmlinger. She attended Huron Area schools then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in English at Peru State College in Nebraska and a masters degree in Elementary Education at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. She married Ronald Grosser of Kenesaw, Nebraska and they settled in Grant. She gave birth to two children Elizabeth and Christopher. The family moved to California where she taught elementary school for 25 years and raised her beloved children. In 2005 following a reading of Purpose Driven Life Debbie and Ron sold all of their possessions and moved to Chiang Rai Thailand to begin a Christian Ministry. They loved their lives in Northern Thailand and there met and fell in love with Susanna Lang Nau and adopted her into their family. Debbie is survived by her children Elizabeth Grosser of Brooklyn, New York (son-in-law Gerad Argeros and their three children Ames, Beau and Eden); Christopher Grosser of Ringwood, New Jersey (daughter-in-law Ximena Garcia deOnrubia and their two children Sophia and Dylan); daughter Susannah Lang Nau of Billings, Montana (and son-in-law Ceu Lian); her brother Ron Elmlinger of Colorado Springs, Colorado and sister-in-law Barbara Elmlinger of Colorado Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ron in November 2020. Debbie and Ron were committed in faith to their Lord.
The family has organized a memorial fund. Contributions to the fund will go directly toward helping the family plan a gathering in Debbie’s honor in the states.
