Dennis Pankonin

Dennis C. Pankonin, 76, of Ogallala, Neb., passed away on February 3, 2021 at the Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colo.

Dennis was born March 12, 1944 to Alfred and Leora Pankonin at Ogallala. He graduated from Grant High School in 1962. Dennis married Sharyl in 1976, and they resided in rural Grant until 2016, then moved to Ogallala. 

Dennis was survived by his wife, Sharyl Pankonin, who recently passed away. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Kucera; former spouse, Nancy and husband Jim Palmer of Brighton, Colo.; children, Deb Arric (her husband Rick Arric), Kerrie Conway (her husband Kelley Conway), Amy Pankonin; foster son, Dan VanCura (his wife Louanne VanCura); nine grandkids; and his dog, Rambo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Leora Pankonin; Linda Ballentine; and brother-in-law, Don Kucera.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Ogallala Cemetery with Pastor Curtis Tschetter officiating.
