George “Mike” Dominguez II, 51, of North Platte, Neb., passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, Minn.
George was born May 17, 1970, in North Platte to George Frank Dominguez Sr. and Delores J. Davis.
He had an artistic flair and always appreciated a good story; these two interests came together in his fondness for Spider-Man. Mike also held a great liking for the Dallas Cowboys.
Throughout his life, Mike maintained a hard work ethic no matter what he was doing at the time. Mike worked hard and didn’t forget to play hard. He had a magnetic personality that people were drawn to, and that usually meant he was the life of the party.
The other side of that coin could be the occasional skirmish, from which Mike never hid or backed away. He admired and respected toughness and loved to watch UFC fights.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Collette M. Dominguez; sister, Jenny Viola Dominguez; brother, Craig Massey; grandson, Frank George Dominguez; and niece, Isabella Gartrell.
Survivors include his son, George (Esmeralda) Dominguez III of Aberdeen, S.D., daughters, Autumn (Andy) Hanzes of Alliance, Neb., and Haley Dominguez of Hemingford, Neb.; grandchildren, Gabriella, Natalie, Crysome, Harmony, Azmar; Uncle, Howard Glen (Linda) Miller of Hastings, Neb.; brothers, Joel Massey of Brewster, Neb., and Edward Massey of Norfolk, Neb.; nieces, Sylvia (Tommy) Smith of North Platte, Crystal (Brett) Gartrell of Dickens, Neb., Tina (Kent) Kuchera of Bassett, Neb., and many other relatives and friends.
