Sharron Vak

Sharron Kay Vak (Dillman) passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, July 16, 2022. 

Sharron was born August 15, 1960 in Thermopolis, Wyo. to Willie and Luane (Korell) Dillman. She spent her early childhood in Idaho and Minnesota before moving to Torrington, Wyo. in 1971. Here, she graduated from Torrington High School in 1978. 

She married Rob McIntosh on August 17, 1976. Their son, Andy, was born on May 4,1982. On October 22, 1999 she met the love of her life James J. Vak in Laramie, Wyo.. On April 22, 2001 she and James were married in Deadwood, So. Dak. She made her home in Grant. She and James were inseparable and did everything together. She enjoyed her trips to South Dakota, the Black Hills, Deadwood, and camping. Most of all she enjoyed being home. 

Sharron worked at The Torrington Telegram, Laramie Job Service, and Perkins County Hospital, but was first and foremost a wife, a mom, and a grandma. For the past several years, she spent her days at her beautiful home, gardening, tending to her flowers, reading, listening to music, crafting, cooking and baking. 

She will forever and deeply missed by her family and friends. Sharron requested to be cremated and have no services, but there will be a celebration of Sharron’s life at a later date. 

She is survived by her husband James J Vak of Grant, Neb.; son Andy (Angela) McIntosh of Longmont, Colo.; stepsons Jesse (Ashley) Vak of North Platte, Neb.; Hunter (Shaina) Vak of Lingle, Wyo.; and Kaleb (Skyler) Vak of Ogallala, Neb.; grandchildren Ethan, Scarlett, Ryder, Halen, Piper and Beau; father Willie Dillman and brothers Glenn (Jan) Dillman, Alvin (Debra) Dillman of Sheridan Wyo.; sisters Lori (Wade) Nicol of Arapaho, Wyo. and Debbie (Lenny) Scherf of Lander, Wyo.; and countless nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Sharron is preceded in death by her mother, Luane, and both sets of maternal and paternal grandparents.
