Timothy R. Steinwart, 63 of Madrid, passed away Jan. 22, 2020, at the Perkins County Hospital in Grant.

Tim was born March 16, 1956, at Bainbridge, Maryland, to Donald L. and Laura A. (Cary) Steinwart. 

He graduated from Wheatland High School in Madrid, Neb.

On Sept. 14, 1975, Tim married Cynthia Ogg. The couple made their home in Lexington for many years before moving back to Madrid in June of 1997. Tim had worked as a truck driver for most of his life and logged countless miles over the years.

Tim was a simple man who enjoyed telling a good story and sharing time with his family and friends. He had an appreciation for the small things in life.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents; Donald L. and Laura A. Steinwart

Survivors include his wife, Cindy of Madrid, their three sons, Joshua and his wife Melanie of Johnson Lake, Aaron and his wife Sarah of Polk City, Fla., and Miles and Rebecca of Kingston, Wash. His brother Michael and his wife Bridgette of Cozad. His sister Cynthia of Round Rock, Texas and his four grand children, Hannah, Aubrey, Willa and Christian.

Private services were held on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at the Elsie Cemetery.

Bullock-Long Funeral Home of Grant assisted the family.
