Automating contributions simplifies life

With the hustle and bustle of life, being a full-time working mom of two, I have found that the best way to stay on top of things in my life is to automate them. I organize my day-to-day utilizing my electronic calendar, which tells me where to be and when. When it comes to finances, I have a lot of things automated there as well, automatic deposits in to my checking account, automatic drafts with regular bills, etc. So, when it came time to set up my charitable giving to the Perkins County Community Foundation Fund, I chose the same easy route – automate it!

The Perkins County Community Foundation, PCCFF, through the Nebraska Community Foundation, offers easy online payment options for one time, monthly, quarterly, and annual donations. I also happen to be fortunate enough to work for a company that believes strongly in charitable giving! Through my company I was able to nominate PCCFF to be added to the list of approved non-profit organizations eligible for donation-matching, which means that for every dollar I donate, my company donates another dollar.

My company also uses the electronic donation system to send my quarterly matching donations directly to the PCCF Fund, via the Nebraska Community Foundation so I don’t miss out on an opportunity to maximize my donations and contribute to the growth and development of my community.

If you haven’t checked out the option for electronic donations, I strongly urge you to visit www.nebcommfound.org/give/, then choose the drop down for “Perkins County” to be taken to our Community Foundation Fund page, and a quick link to “donate to this fund” and “recurring gift.” There you can select the frequency and amount of your donations and you can check out the amazing video, which highlights all of the great work the foundation has been doing for the past several years in Perkins County.

Another option is to visit your bank and make arrangements for regular giving. This can be utilized for other charitable giving as well.
