For 27-year-old Jane Hagan, taking the helm as Administrator of the Perkins County Health Services Foundation means building the relationships that will be the key to assisting an organization that has a rich history in Perkins County.

“I am excited to become a part of this organization and this community, and help the hospital continue to remain viable well into the future,” Hagan said.

Hagan stepped into the position last week, taking the reins from Jackie Urdahl who held the position since January 2020. Other administrators for the foundation included Ron Patrick, Jody Snogren and Adair Reese.

Hagan said she knows she has big shoes to fill with the leaving of Urdahl, along with following Patrick, Snogren and Reese, but said she is ready to learn and continue leading the organization that has been in existence since 1987. Since that time, the PCHS Foundation has been an integral part of the PC Health Services, helping it to keep up with the ever changing needs of the health field.

Background

Originally from Grand Island, Hagan has a bachelor’s degree in animal science with an emphasis in business from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. For the past five years, Hagan has worked at Hi-Line Coop in its accounting department.

Hagan said besides settling into her office, she has been busy introducing herself to the various departments at PCHS and getting to know the leaders in the hospital.

The Perkins County Health Services Foundation has played a big role in helping to raise funds to keep PCHS viable over the past 36 years by not only purchasing cutting edge equipment for the hospital, but was also extremely instrumental in the building of the new hospital in 2016.

Hagan will be overseen by the Foundation’s six member board, made up of Cori Sis, Brent Gloy, Tawna Holmstedt, Melissa Wilson, Candy Bazan and Jeff Skeels. Sis is now serving as chairman of board, which was recently held by Gloy.

Jane is married to Jeremy Hagan who farms in Perkins County with his parents, Ron and Diane. The couple has two children, Henlie, 2 1/5, and Heath, 8 months old.
