Hite is April Senior of the Month

Triston Hite, Perkins County High School senior, has the honor of being chosen Senior of the Month for April.
He is the son of Shayne and Penny Hite of Grant.
Hite values the work ethic he developed through his years at Perkins County Schools, and feels that having assignments done on time and completely is a trait that he has gained.
Hite has many extracurricular activities to his credit as well. He has participated in football, basketball. track, speech, one acts and musicals, and has been awarded in many of those activities. In addition, he was a recipient of the Marjorie Jackman Outstanding Community award, a service scholarship award, and has been a member of National Honor Society.
Outside of school, Hite has been involved in Legion baseball and Boy Scouts.
He has gained time management, technical and organizational skills through various employment opportunities, including mowing lawns, being a maintenance worker at the school, janitor at church and a lifeguard at the city pool.
Hite expresses his appreciation for the community of Grant, saying, “To me, we have the best community. Our community has done so much, from supporting school activities, to donating when something is needed, and being generous to anyone passing through town to visit.”
After graduating in May, Hite plans to go on to college, play football, and study exercise science, with eventual plans of a career in physical therapy.
