PCS FFA qualifies four teams for state

Four Perkins County FFA teams qualified for state FFA at a Career Development Event Feb. 9.
These include the district champions in Ag. Sales and Agriscience, as well as the runner-up Food Science Team and the fourth place Ag Mechanics Team.
Hallie Fisher won the ag sales individual competition and competed with Nolan Foster, white ribbon.
Members of the Agriscience team are Mason McGreer, purple; Kenna Busick, purple; Emily Cornelius, purple; Brock Tines, purple; Emmalee Parsley, purple; Eric Gonzalez, red; and Kloie Campbell, red.
On the district runner up Food Science team are H. Fisher, purple; Meredith Gloy, purple; Kylie Tucker, blue; Maggie Fisher, blue; Lexi Vigil, blue; Gavin Smith, red; Emma Klahn, red; Kailee Potts, white; Kayton Brueggeman, white; Cornelius, white; and Lane Not, white.
On the Ag Mechanics team are Joe Malmkar, purple; Huntin Taylor, blue; and Blake Dolezal, blue.
Members of the Ag Biotechnology team are Gavin Smith, blue; M. Fisher, blue; Gloy, red; and Eli Busick, white.
Brueggeman was the top placer on the Vet Science team with a purple ribbon. Parsley earned a white ribbon.
The PC FFA celebrated a very short National FFA Week this year, due to teacher in-service Feb. 21-23.
However, that didn’t stop the chapter from holding the usual activities.
PCS FFA celebrated with a Staff Appreciation Breakfast and cornhole over lunch, Drive your Tractor to School Day and the Greenhand Degree Ceremony.
