PCS speech team takes fifth at Blue & Gold meet in North Platte

The Blue & Gold meet is the largest meet the Perkins County School’s speech team competes in.
PCS speech coach, Penny Hite, said, “This is a unique meet because there are two divisions to compete—Varsity and Novice (first-year speakers).”
There were 285 students and 351 entries to the tournament that involved 22 schools extending from Chadron to Elm Creek.
“Our kids did not disappoint in there performances,” said Hite.
