PCS takes part in SPVA music contest
The Perkins County music program earned four superior and eight excellent ratings at Monday’s SPVA music contest in Imperial.
Of the large groups, the PCS concert band took Superior and the concert choir Excellent.
Earning Superior ratings were Summer Postlewait, vocal solo; Alyssa Briggs and Mallory McClenahan, vocal duet; and Sarah Cockerill and McClenahan, vocal duet.
Excellent ratings went to Mackayla Wallin and McClenahan, clarinet/flute duet; Gavin Smith, Ella Uehling, Wallin and Postlewait, mixed quartet; McClenahan, Briana Ledford and Mason McGreer, mixed trio; Emme Sims, vocal solo; McClenahan, Briggs and Sarah Cockerill, vocal trio; Postlewait, Briggs, McClenahan and Cockerill, vocal quarter; and girls’ vocal ensemble.
